additional need for aerial monitoring in the Gulf

Institute for Southern Studies, Facing South article: New Louisiana Oil Spill Highlights Chronic Pollution Problem in response to a two mile long slick of oil found June 8th from a leaking platform.
"There's a lot going on in that part of the Gulf," observed SkyTruth President John Amos. "Routine satellite monitoring would sure be helpful." Amos' group first called for such monitoring last June in the wake of the BP oil disaster.
